# Send a broadcast to your contacts


A broadcast sends one message to many contacts: a restock, a sale, an event. Meta only lets businesses message people who wrote to them in the last 24 hours, so Awwtomation counts exactly who can get it before you send.

## Steps

### Start a new broadcast

Open **Broadcasts** and click **+ New broadcast**. Broadcasts are on every plan from Starter.

### Choose who gets it

Pick the **Account** to send from. Under **People**, choose **Everyone**, **A saved segment** or **By tag**. With **By tag**, click **Add tag** under **Include people tagged** and pick your tags.

The orange card shows how many **Can get it now**: everyone who matches and has messaged you in the last 24 hours.

### Write the message

Click **Continue**. Write the **Text**, insert **First name** with the chips, and add up to three **Link buttons**. The phone shows the preview.

### Pick when it goes out

Choose **Send now** or **Schedule**. With **Schedule**, pick a date and time or tap a quick option like **Tomorrow 18:00**.

### Check and send

Review the name, the account, the audience, the message and the time, then click **Send to** or **Schedule for**. You can cancel a scheduled broadcast from the list until it goes out.

## Who can get a broadcast

Only people who messaged you in the last 24 hours. The count updates as that changes, so a broadcast scheduled for tomorrow reaches whoever is inside the window when it's sent. To reach more people, run automations that start conversations, like comment-to-DM, a day before.

## Q: How many broadcasts can I send?

A: Ten a month on Starter, fifty on Pro and two hundred on Agency.

## Q: Can I broadcast to all my followers?

A: No. Meta doesn't allow messaging followers who haven't written to you. Broadcasts reach contacts inside the 24-hour window.
